LOVE IS IN THE FRESH FARM AIR
Love is in the fresh farm air for our wonderful Farm Managers, Ariana and Sally. Their OrcaSong Farm love story began when they decided they needed a change. Having previously both worked in industries far removed from farming, they packed up their belongings in California and moved to Orcas Island. They wanted a new direction that would help them connect deeply to the Earth and to each other; where they could raise and bring their children to work. Their focus was to cultivate a lifestyle that would nurture the next generation of climate activists and foster a symbiotic relationship with the Earth on which they stood.
Sally began as an intern at a local farm to hone her craft. With Ariana by her side, they then rented a space to create their own garden. It was there they met OrcaSong Farm owners David and Doug. The two couples later came together to change the direction of OrcaSong Farm and drive it towards the goal of offering the farm to the public through a variety of educational programs specializing in plant-based medicine and vegetable production.
